3 Laws for Success

Have you thought about a friend or an acquaintance that you have not seen in a while? Then out of the blue they appear back in your life….. coincidence….. probably not.

What about trying to think of a name that is on the tip of your tongue and the harder you try to remember the more difficult it seems to become. Why… read on.

I attended a breakout session at a Toastmasters Fall Conference in 2007 facilitated by a guy by the name of Wayne Lee. You may recognize Wayne’s name, he is an author, motivational speaker and a hypnotist.

During the educational session Wayne discussed and demonstrated the Law of Focus, the Law of Belief and the Law of Least Resistance.

The Law of Focus states, “Whatever you focus on expands”. What you see on a continual basis is what you get. Rephrased, what you think about you bring about. Re-read the opening two lines then re read the Law of Focus. Coincidence or did we create this scenario because we wanted it to happen?

The Law of Belief states, “What you believe is true”. You will always move in the direction of your minds dominant thought. As Thomas Edison said so many years ago, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.”

To paraphrase Wayne, he said that some people believe in their doubts, others doubt their beliefs. Remember the old adage “gloom is a self fulfilling prophetic”? Think negatively and you head there quickly.

Each of us from time to time has seen ourselves in our minds as unsuccessful prior to performing a task or a presentation and then likely were unsuccessful. This is because this is what we believed?

The Law of Least Resistance states, “When you relax your mind you can program your subconscious easier”. When we are relaxed, vivid ideas and thoughts will come to us”.

Think of it this way, your conscious mind decided what is right or wrong for you. Your subconscious mind is programmable and controls habits. By relaxing and programming positive affirmations, thoughts and pictures we can create different results for ourselves.

See if you cannot bring about positive change in your life. Relax and see yourself as the person you want to become. If something becomes difficult affirm the positive and think of more powerful positive thoughts, you may be surprised at the results.
